Benchmade Knife Company manufactures knives for a loyal and ever growing following of knife users. They employ a simple philosophy - "Make it cool, make it solid, make it happen, and definitely make it Benchmade."
Benchmade has taken the very popular Stryker design and added the Nitrous assist-opening mechanism. Nitrous uses the inner-liner to boost the blade open. As the blade is closed, the two torsion arms, which run the length of the handle liners, are secured in place and make contact with the blade tang. The user rotates the blade open to a 30-degree angle, and then the torsion bars take over and pushes the blade into the open position.
Early in 2007, Benchmade® introduced the Dejavoo. Recently, they have introduced a small version called the Mini Dejavoo. The 3-1/4" blade of S30V at 58-60 Rc. is ground to the top, the way a blade should be ground. The G10 handle scales are fully contoured for a comfortable hand fit and that feeling that you don't want to lay it down.
Heckler & Koch is a name that most of you are familiar with. It is a name synonymous with quality and performance. The have teamed with Benchmade to produce this line of fine tactical knives made to the same exacting standards that you are accustomed to in the HK line of firearms.
The design is from Oregon knifemaker Bob Lum, but the name is all Benchmade - Bob calls it an All Rounder. The name Dèjávoo does seem to better fit the elegance and uniqueness of this knife.
The Mini-Rukus® is by no means a mini-knife. Measuring a full 8-3/8" when open, it features a 3-3/8" flat ground drop point blade of S30V stainless at 58-60 Rc. The Blackwood design is coupled with Benchmade's AXIS lock to create a large folder that is appealing to behold and highly functional.
The Rukus™ is a large knife with a 4-1/4" flat ground drop point blade of S30V stainless at 58-60 Rc. The Blackwood design is coupled with Benchmade's AXIS lock to create a large folder that is appealing to behold and highly functional.
This is a neat little pocketknife with Benchmade's "Levitator™" locking system, it locks both open and closed. Press the side lever and "levitate" the blade open or closed.
From the Manufacturer:
"Glossy metallic profiles of red or silver tempt the senses and energize the soul. Witness an unrivaled revelation of pure performance engineering in every detail. You won't be lead astray."
From the Manufacturer:
"You're only as old as you feel. An exterior of jigged aluminum handle scales with "woody" side panels, and the stylish, silvery blade project a timeless impression of class. Rekindle the spirits of old "friends", or begin new with the inspiration of this timeless necessity."
From the Manufacturer:
"The 630 Skirmish precedes any formal introduction, it introduces itself. More surprising than the robust stature though, is how well it handles for its size."
From the Manufacturer:
"Try this one on for size. It's every bit the 630 with a few less steroids. The 635 with its titanium-framed monolock competes with all, but compares with none. So silky smooth, yet so rigidly prudent in securing the blade."
There are currently at least eleven Mike Snody collaborations in Benchmade's line of knives. The Gravitator seems to stand out from the rest. The lines are very different.
Benchmade fans will recognize the Sequel as a slimmer version of the model 705, the first Benchmade knife to have the AXIS™ lock.
The model 940 incorporates the exclusive Benchmade AXIS™ locking system, created by custom knifemakers Bill McHenry and Jason Williams.
Mike Snody, the designer of the Resistor, got his start in knifemaking in an unusual way. While working in a remote corner of Siberia on a construction project he passed the time by reading and re-reading knife magazines.
The Benchmade Levitator® locking system utilizes the handle scale/liner to create a spring that leverages a lock-pin in and out of a notch in the tang of the blade. This system locks the blade securely in both the open and closed positions.
Available in two sizes that will cover all your knife needs. Can be opened easily, quickly and safely using the large oval hole in the blade which makes the Griptilian ambidextrous. The AXIS™ lock from McHenry & Williams works smoothly and is as positive a lock as I know of.
These two sizes should suit anyone who needs or wants a knife that can be opened as easily and as fast, and a lot more safely, than any knife available. Easily opened or closed with either hand. The AXIS™ lock from McHenry & Williams works smoothly and is as positive a lock as I know of.
