This slim bowie is reminiscent of the knives from the California Gold Rush of the 1850's. It is well suited for the cowboy shooter who wants an authentic knife for his outfit.

All of us who manufacture knives are beginning to experience great difficulty in sourcing India Stag for the handles of our knives. At the S.H.O.T. Show in 2000, we arranged to have this bowie constructed in Italy by Fox using European Stag handles. The quality of the Stag is superb.

If you are really partial to stag handles, you may have already noticed that it is getting harder and more expensive to purchase knives with this handle material. About three years ago the Indian government placed an embargo on the export of the raw material, and the supply in the United States has been dwindling since. We had expected the embargo to be lifted long ago, but it is still in place.

This knife has an 8" blade of 440A high carbon stainless tool steel, which measures 3/16" thick and 1-3/16" wide. The overall length is 12-1/2". It features a stainless double guard and a black leather sheath. Weighs 14.4 oz.
