Kershaw's Tanto Groove

In 2006, Kershaw introduced the Groove. With its all-new blade style, it became one of the more popular choices. This year, they have taken the knife to a new level. They have added a Tanto style blade and coated both the blade and handle with a black Tungsten DLC coating. The entire blade below the grind line is still machined with a unique striation pattern, possible only with modern day computerized 3-D machining equipment. For those of you who like a more tactical look to your knives, this is the perfect addition to your collection. The 3-1/2" blade is Swedish Sandvik 13C26 high carbon cutlery stainless at 58-60 Rc. An extension of the ricasso serves as a finger guard when the blade is open. When the blade closes this same extension of the ricasso pivots through the back of the handle to serve as a "flipper" for quick and easy opening with a flip of the index finger. The handle is 420 stainless steel with a frame lock and G-10 overlays. Includes a three-screw belt clip, which is removable or adjustable for tip up or tip down carry.
