Earlier this year we introduced the Klötzli African Big Five series with a scrimed Leopard on this unique little gentleman's folder. The knife was designed by Christian Wimpff of Germany and made by H. P. Klötzli to the exacting standards we find in all Klötzli knives. The Lion is the fourth in that series and will be followed by the Elephant before the end of the year.
The blade steel is ATS-34 at 57-59 Rc., the handle frame is titanium and the scales are Woolly Mammoth ivory. Each knife is hand scrimshawed by Attila of Hungary with a representation of a fully maned male Lion. Only 25 of each of the African Big Five will be made, with 5 of each being set aside for complete sets.
Measures 3-1/8" closed with a 2-1/4" Wharncliffe blade and a Walker lock. Made in Switzerland. Weighs 2.2 oz. Includes a handsome leather pouch.
