Earlier this year Lone Wolf Knives, a new company owned by a former president of Gerber Legendary Blades, introduced the small version which I kept expecting. The Paul® Pocket Folder was designed by Paul Poehlmann using the same axial locking mechanism, which he patented in the early 1970s and uses on his handmade knives. At 3-1/8" closed, and with a 2" blade of 420HC at 56-58 Rc., it is the first pocket-sized Paul® Knife ever manufactured. The action of this knife is unique, pinch the button between your thumb and forefinger and smoothly snap the handle away from the blade.
Marble Arms is back in the business of making knives. They have recently set up a knife making operation at their Gladstone, Michigan facility and are in the process of completing all the parts which remained when knifemaking was stopped some time in the 1940's. In 1997 we offered two Marble's knives made from these parts. This year they are continuing to finish old parts, but having completed most of those, they are also creating old designs from new materials.
Marttiini has specialized in mid to mid-high quality hunting knives for European hunters and campers. Their knives are all in the Lapplander style, a very efficient design and popular with everyone who does not require a guard to keep fingers off the blade. Knives from Finland have always been noted for being both hard and tough.
Every year, while at shows, we are offered several knives from the finest makers in Seki City, Japan. We only choose the best of them to offer to you. With the best of steels, these Mcusta™ knives have stood out from the crowd.
Ontario Knife Company, long time maker of combat knives and the Spec-Plus series, is the proud producer of two more Bowie knives designed by Bill Bagwell.
The Kodi-Pak is the ultimate system for field dressing any big game animal. Each tool features Kraton® handles for a positive grip even when wet, and each blade is made of AUS-8A stainless. Perhaps the most unique part of the Kodi-Pak is the single, compact full-grain leather sheath that holds all three tools. The skinning knife and the caping knife are held secure in front and the saw is tucked away neatly into the back of the sheath and swivels upward for quick, easy access.
This is the second President's knife from Queen in three years, the first of these very limited editions was produced in 2000. This knife is marked 2002, but is just now being delivered. The signature of Queen's president, Nick Trbovich, Jr., is etched on the back of the small blade. Both blades are ground from D2, hardened to 58-59 Rc.
Twenty-one years ago Remington Arms Co. issued the first official reproduction of the most popular of all of the original "Bullet" knives of the early 1900s. The "Trapper" that Remington produced with the cartridge inlay of the then popular .30 Remington cartridge, was to become a knife collectors icon. One of the original knives in mint condition is now valued in thousands of dollars and the twenty-one year old reproductions are valued in hundreds of dollars.
