Any time you are considering knives from SOG, you are looking at some of the most popular knives made in the late 20th Century. Spencer Frazier has been enormously successful because he is a business man, he insists on quality, and he has come up with some outrageous designs that really pleased a lot of knife people.
SOG® Specialty Knives has a long reputation for building knives for serious hard use and supplying knives to elite military forces. The SEAL Team Elite can only enhance that reputation.
The Team Leader is a new look from SOG. The 5" satin finish blade is flat ground all the way to the top, like a hard working blade should be. There are two versions, one of AUS-8 with the most aggressive saw teeth I have ever seen, and the other from a new American steel produced by Latrobe.
The Trident uses S.A.T.™ technology to open the knife, just open the knife about 1/3 of the way and the knife does the rest. There is also a built-in safety to lock the blade in the closed position, when it shows red the knife is ready to be deployed.
This handy little hunter is intended to provide you with as much quality as possible for less than $50. You can judge the success of SOG's intent by considering the following: the 4" blade is AUS-8 at 57-59 Rc., the 4-1/2" full tang handle slabs are made of Kraton®, a quality leather sheath rounds out the package.
The SOG Fusion Muscle Car is designed with an obvious theme in mind, high performance. The wheel that turns with the knife, a fan welt and pulley array, exhaust pipe, racing stripes, hood latch thumbstud, spoilers, competition numbers gear shifter clip, headlights and license plate engraving are all fun reminders of the muscle car era.
The SOG® Visionary features the same blade shape as the Spec Elite, with the handle of a Mini X-Ray Vision. A great blade in a small package!
The Bi-Polar is SOG's first dual assisted knife with twin blades. Using SOG's Assisted Technology™, each blade is propelled into the open position once you start the blade moving. The perfect rescue knife, whether used by law enforcement, emergency medical personnel or the outdoorsman who needs a knife to quickly handle the many daily predicaments he finds himself in.
The SOG® Trident™ Folder uses SOG's well-proven S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology™) as a means of opening the blade. With the addition of the Arc-Actuator™, SOG's newest blade release mechanism, the Trident locks stronger and releases easier. There is also a built-in safety to lock the blade closed. Also making the Trident folder unique is the Groove™ in the handle, which allows the operator to cut small cord without having to open the blade. It also features Digi-Grip™, a variable pattern on the handle for a coarser grip.
SOG says ?This is a completely new approach on multi-tools for the industrial trade. The PowerCut features an angled head design for easy work in confined spaces. Short jaws and beveled cutting edges permit close cutting of wire, and all that with Compound Leverage™! Three wire strippers (10,12,14 gauge) are provided in the jaws. A stout compound leverage plier/crimper is located between the handles as well. The job site will never be the same again!"
SOG has taken their Twitch XL and added a Tanto style blade for a more tactical look. With a frame of a standard lockback, and SOG's own SAT assisted technology, the Twitch XL is built for serious business. SOG has also added a built-in safety that either locks the blade closed or can double lock the blade while open.
The SOG® Kilowatt is a working theme knife designed for the electrician, homeowner, contractor, or anyone who might need to strip wire in a pinch. Three separate systems address wire from fine multi-strand all the way up to cable.
The name for the SOG® Vulcan was inspired by the General Electric M61A1 Vulcan, a six-barrel 20mm Gatling-type cannon which is an integral part of the armament of such modern-day fighters as the F-15, F-18, and the F-16. SOG's Vulcan, with its heavy duty glass reinforced Zytel® handles over full steel liners, the ARC-Lock, and blade kick deployment system, is sure to become an integral part of the modern day warrior's gear.
From the Manufacturer:
"In the presence of the revised Tigershark series, one's pulse quickens. It is instantly recognized for its signature handguard and defensive rear point, which are removable for a more streamlined look. But it is also familiar as the largest member of the SEAL series with precise grind lines, scalloped back edge, touch point checkering, and superior ergonomics."
The Vulcan-Mini is a handy smaller version of the SOG® Vulcan which was introduced in 2007. The name was inspired by the General Electric M61A1 Vulcan, a six-barrel 20mm Gatling-type cannon that is an integral part of the armament of such modern-day fighters as the F-15, F-18, and the F-16.
The Arcitech CF is the second in SOG's Platinum line of high-end collectible knives. A 3-1/2" mirror polished San Mai exotic steel (VG-10 core laminated with 420J2 stainless) blade moves smooth as silk and mechanically effortless thanks to SOG?s Arc-Lock and Abalone jeweled thumbstud.
Introduced in 2007, the Bi-Polar was SOG's first dual assisted knife with twin blades. Using SOG's assisted technology, each blade is propelled into the open position once you start the blade moving.
While SOG has always been known for the quality of their knives, you will find that these are a step up from what you know of SOG. In the Arcitech, SOG has combined natural handle materials, Titanium and modern blade steels with super fit and finish to create the highest quality knife.
The latest version of the classic Tomcat folding knife. The first SOG knife to win the prestigious Blade Magazine knife of the year award in 1988.
For 2006, SOG® has created the Spec-Elite™, making use of their proven Arc-Lock™. With the attributes knife designers relentlessly search for -- strength, speed, safety, ambidexterity and durability, the Arc-Lock™ was independently lab tested at over 1000 lbs. of pressure without lock failure, and is self-adjusting for long-term, optimal performance.
The SOG Trident folders have features that are common to several of SOG's most popular knives. Upon closer inspection, you will find that they have features not normally seen in a folder. The Trident uses S.A.T.™ technology to open the knife, just open the knife about 1/3 of the way and the knife does the rest.

"Introducing the newest member of the Topo family from SOG, the Topo Meridian. This is your first view of topographic construction embodied into knife design. We know that you will think it is as stunning as we do, but beauty is not only skin-deep! SOG's patent pending Topo construction creates a tactile outer layer using stepped ergonomics that is comfortable, novel, and functional."
SOG utilizes their Assisted Technology in only three models. The Twitch, which was introduced at the end of 2003, is the newest model. This new concept in pocket knives will change your idea about lockback knives. Invented by Spencer Frazer, the Twitch features a pass-through lockbar from which the "kick" of the blade sticks through.
The SOG® Flash series has been one of the most popular "Assisted Opening" knives on the market. When SOG offered us the chance to purchase a very limited special edition of the Flash II in a non-assisted version we jumped on it. This Non-Assisted version is available only to A. G. Russell customers.
Over the past year the Flash, Flash II and the Blink have been available in more common colors, black and gray and thousands have sold. At the Blade Show in June, SOG introduced the three knives with RAINBOW Titanium Nitride coated 6061 T6 aircraft alloy handles. The rainbow colors also cover the blades, thumbstuds and liners. This rainbow coating has been available for several months from other companies, but SOG's look is different.
The knives shown here are available in combination edge only. The handles and blade are anodized graphite colored aluminum, which is then coated with a Titanium Nitride Finish. Titanium Nitride (TiNi) coatings are some of the toughest coatings that can be applied to steel. They exhibit extreme hardness, are exceptionally scratch and peel resistant, and help increase longevity.
The SOG® Flash and Flash II, two of the most popular "Assisted Opening" knives on the market, use the thumb stud to open the blade the first 20% of the way and then it JUMPS the rest of the way. S.A.T.™ (SOG Assisted Technology) propels the blade out once the operator has initiated the one hand opening action.
An executive sized lockback, the assisted opening mechanism of the Blink works just like SOG's Flash. Once you have initiated the blade opening, S.A.T.™ propels the blade out and firmly locks it into place. T

The Gov-Tac transcends the page. You will have to handle it to appreciate that the "sum" of this knife is so much greater than just its parts. Double precision ground grooves, thumb control ridges, and an extremely thick blade all contribute to this stunning knife.

Based on the Vietnam Tomahawk, the new Fusion Tactical Tomahawk is an extreme evolution of the original, which was considered one of the more unusual weapons of its day. Today there is a real need for a versatile tool for breaching operations, excavation, obstacle removal, extraction, and other utility applications.
SOG's modern battle/throwing ax evokes its origins from medieval times, which some might consider to be the present. Whether used as a target ax, SWAT tool or universal backup; it is very effective. The pike in the back is upswept for better target penetration.
The SOG Tech Bowie is based on the classic SOG® Bowie on which the company was built. Spencer Frazer has taken that basic design and changed the blade steel to stainless and the handle material to Kraton® creating a strong work knife.

About 20 years ago two polite young men from California came into my office in Springdale, Arkansas and asked me about the knife business. They wanted to become designers and importer/manufactures of knives. Their idea was to begin with a reproduction of the Vietnam era bowie created by the Studies and Observation Group, an elite joint services military group designed for covert operations in Vietnam.
SOG Speciality Knives' flagship is a replica of the original knife used by the Vietnam War Era's 5th Special Forces Group known as the Studies and Observation Group (SOG). Secretly developed and used in covert missions, the original SOG knife was a steadfast companion in one of the harshest environments in the world.
For SOG's 20th anniversary they have introduced an adaptation of the original SOG Bowie that founded the company. This new large format 7-1/2" blade will stun you with its exacting construction and precise grind lines.
Years ago, I was visited by a young man from California who wanted to get into the knife business. He wanted to make a version of one of the SOG knives from the Vietnam war. I took his original and redesigned it, making the handle longer and changing a few lines to make it more attractive. I also gave him directions to the people in Japan who could make a first class knife for him.
This knife from SOG® is in a class by itself. A fixed blade with a different twist, it has twice the capability as your standard camp knife for the same size and weight. The SOG SEAL-Revolver utilizes the patented technology developed by Robbie Roberson. Simply depress the locking lever in the handle and rotate the blade to transform the knife into a saw.
Featuring a small serrated section on the blade, it leaves more traditional designs behind when extra cutting power is required. This knife is made to a quality standard seldom seen even in the most expensive production knives, like soldered crossguard to blade construction.
Sized down into a 3-1/2" blade of 1/8" AUS-6 at 55-57 Rc with a gray powder coat. Checkered handle of glass reinforced Zytel®. Kydex sheath. Made in Japan. Suggested retail $85.00.
Compound leverage has become a SOG® patented trademark for folding tools. It provides increased leverage and minimizes the amount of hard pressure required. This year SOG has improved on those multi-tools even more by adding the V-Cutter.
Compound leverage has become a SOG patented trademark for folding tools. It provides increased leverage and therefore minimizes the amount of hard pressure required. This mechanical advantage is known mainly in the trades by people who use their tools everyday. Our friends at SOG have expanded their tool business in a reach for the Max tool.
The CrossGrip® from SOG is unique. It is a real pair of pliers in a key ring sized package. "It's not a toy... It's a tool!" say the people at SOG. When you handle this little gem, you will agree. SOG's patented, gear driven, compound leverage action increases the pliers leverage, reducing the amount of strength needed. The spring loaded handles make the tool much easier to use; the jaws are open when you need them to be.
The SOG® CrossCut® is a new high point in the world of "Personal-Tools". In a world where each entry is larger and more expensive, this new tool is remarkable. This compact package houses ten tools, including gear driven scissors, tweezers, small and medium screwdrivers, bottle opener, nail file and nail cleaner, knife blade, ruler and plastic toothpick.
