The end of WWII was marked by the lighting of beacons, ringing of church bells, street parties and bonfires. Newspapers around the world did a good job of capturing those celebrations with headlines declaring PEACE. The blade etch design for KaBar's VE-VJ Day Commemorative was created with those moments in mind and in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the end of World War II.

The knives specifically commemorate V-E Day, April 1945 and V-J day, August 1945. 60 years is a long time and most of those who buy this knife will have been born long after those dates.

The knife is the standard combat knife of WWII for the Navy and USMC. Following WWII many were issued to the Army as well. These are available marked Army, Navy, and USMC so you have a choice. Suggested retail $86.86.

KaBar VE- VJ Day Commemorative Marines

The 7" blade is 1095 high carbon tool steel at 56-58 Rc. with a black epoxy powder coating. The banner and PEACE, V-E Day, V-J Day, End of WWII are etched through the coating and printed gold. Leather handle, steel hilt and pommel. Measures 12" tip to butt and weighs 10.7 oz.
