A truly ambidextrous folder!

Knife manufacturers in Maniago, Italy continually present new and interesting approaches to the use of common materials and common functionality. This version of Lion Steel's Daghetta features a handle comprised of carbon fiber and G-10 that has been fused together in two layers. When grooves are cut through the radiused material with carbon fiber at the surface, G-10 is exposed along the sides, creating a visually striking handle as well as a very strong one. The simple elegance found in the Max designed contemporary furniture appears in the simplicity of line in this Lion Steel folding knife designed by Max.

The locking mechanism is Lion Steel's TOL - Tactical Operation Lock system (patent pending). The lock is an evolution of Gerber's original Bolt Action but performs in a very different way. The locking mechanism does not directly contact the blade, but instead "locks" the back spring creating a very secure lock. This mechanism gives the user the control of a traditional back spring and greater strength than the average lockback. This is a truly ambidextrous folder! A simple spring loaded lock release at the front of the handle allows easy one-handed opening and closing and the clip can be positioned on the obverse or reverse side of the handle for tip up carry. The 3-1/4" double ground blade is 440C at 56-58 Rc.
