For this Limited Edition Defender, Lone Wolf Knives has chosen beautiful fossilized blue "Brain Coral" recovered from the ocean floor off the Florida Keys. Brain coral is a common name given to certain corals due to their generally spheroid shape and grooved surface, which resembles an animal brain. Each piece is unique in shape and pattern. The location on the ocean floor from which the fossilized coral is removed is not near any live coral reefs so the recovery of this material is ecologically safe. The color Lone Wolf has chosen for this limited group of knives is not possible to reproduce on a printed page. It has a lot of blue so dark it is almost black with lines of a lighter blue creating the "brain" pattern. You need to hold the knife in your hand to appreciate how beautiful the pattern is.
