This folder is our third selection in Mcusta's series of Limited Edition knives based on traditional Japanese Art images. The butterfly is a popular symbol in the Japanese culture. It is often used to represent metamorphosis or transformation and often represents spring. For centuries Japanese family crests have contained designs based on the butterfly.
Both handle scales feature two butterflies cut through beautifully figured Cocobolo which are then inlaid with exquisitely detailed butterflies cut from thin sheets of stainless. The 3-1/4" drop point blade is 32 layer Stainless Damascus with a VG-10 core at 58-60 Rc. Includes a beautiful A. G. Russell™ Exclusive leather presentation case. Measures 4-1/4" closed and weighs 3.8 oz. Each knife will be serial numbered (sorry, no choice of serial number) and stamped with the red Mcusta insignia (Rakuin). Made in Japan.
