Mcusta knives are a synthesis of Japanese and Western design elements creating a “user friendly” pocketknife that’s beautiful, unique, and functional.

Mcusta knives are made in Seki City, the so called “City of Swords” knife and sword making capital of Japan. These knives are not made using the conventional method of die stamping like most mass-produced knives. Each component is laser cut to assure the best possible precision fit, then hand assembled, hand finished and inspected by a team of highly skilled craftsmen.

Mcusta knives are among the finest production knives made anywhere in the world.

Mcusta® Hana Folder - Bamboo Handle & VG-10 Damascus Blade

Seki, Japan has been the center of Japanese cutlery production since the middle of the 13th century. This area, like Solingen, Germany, Sheffield, England and New York and Pennsylvania, was a natural area for knife production due to its abundant sources of iron, sand and coal and its proximity to flowing streams for power. Mcusta has built upon this centuries long tradition, marrying the traditional with modern technology including lasers and CNC machining for the most precise fit and embellishment.
