Browning® has chosen a single blade Bailey Bradshaw lockback folder with bolsters and caps as the first release in their second series of their Mastersmith Collection. Through the next several weeks they will release the second knife from each of the four mastersmiths: Jerry Fisk, John Fitch, Joseph Keeslar and James Crowell. Each knifemaker has earned Mastersmith rank with the American Bladesmith Society.
Bailey Bradshaw has only been making knives since 1993, you would think much longer from the level of his work. He says that his knifemaking resulted from a childhood fascination with working hot steel (he grew up in a blacksmithing family). His handmade knives are diverse, ranging from simple working folders to engraved and sculpted art pieces. He has been a full time knifemaker since 1997 and has earned the rank of mastersmith with the American Bladesmith Society.
Browning has chosen a traditional lockback folder with stainless bolsters, caps and liners, and Mother-of-Pearl handle scales. The 2-1/2"drop point blade is 440C stainless steel at 58-60 Rc. with a fine satin finish. Measures 3-1/8"closed and weighs 2.3 oz. Each knife is serial numbered. Sorry, we are unable to offer you a choice of serial numbers. Made in Germany.
