Introduced in 2007, the original Bi-Polar was a twin-bladed dual assisted knife. Meaning that, using SOGs own assisted technology; each blade is propelled into the open position once you start the blade moving. As near perfect a rescue knife as you can get, the Bi-Polar Rescue has a 2-3/8" serrated blade on one end and a V-cutter on the other. SOG's patent-pending V-cutter will easily cut seatbelt material, paracord, fishing line, strip most types of wire, zip electrical cable sheathing, open packages, cut nylon banding straps, and list goes on and on. Also has a glass breaker. Dual opening, double lockbars and twin safeties all work to lock the blades closed or double lock the blades open.
