The original Stingray was one of the first folders SOG ever produced and was a heavy-duty work knife. In late 2008, they introduced the Stingray 2.0. This Stingray limited edition is the next offering in that line. SOG decided to keep the thick blade stock of the original
(a full 1/8"), but stepped up to San Mai steel, a VG-10 core at 59-60 Rc. laminated 420J2 on either side. With a 2-7/8" Bowie style blade, these are just as tough as the original but with added class including an abalone set thumb stud and Mino Paper inlay, a handmade Japanese paper that makes each piece unique. Limited to 400 pieces. Measures
3-5/8" closed and weighs 3.2 oz. Made in Japan. Suggested retail is $350.00.
