The Arcitech CF is the second in SOG's Platinum line of high-end collectible knives. A 3-1/2" mirror polished San Mai exotic steel (VG-10 core laminated with 420J2 stainless) blade moves smooth as silk and mechanically effortless thanks to SOG's Arc-Lock and Abalone jeweled thumbstud. San Mai is made up of three layers of steel sandwiched together in the tradition of Japanese swords. This forging technique enables the blade to be constructed with a very hard center core and softer outer layers. San Mai combines the best qualities of edge holding and blade flexibility. The bolsters and liners are polished titanium and the handle scales are carbon fiber. The cutting edge of the blade is hardened to 59-61 Rc. Measures 4-1/2" closed and weighs 4.0 oz.
