This year SOG is reintroducing some old but popular knives that were discontinued. With the reintroduction of this popular SOG knife, they have taken the Tsunami and improved it. Some of the changes are subtle like refining the overall balance. Some are a bit more obvious, like the grooves in the crossguards and the option of a TiNi coating.

The Tanto blade shape, of Asian influence, has a thick pointed blade that's good for penetration. Coupled with a glass-filled nylon sheath this knife is designed for the toughest of tasks. The 8" Tanto shaped epoxy powder coated blade is made from tough 1095CV high carbon steel at 56-58 Rc. and is combo edge.

A compact, stout tanto blade is fiercely rugged and appropriate for piercing through the toughest materials. Coupled with a Kydex sheath this knife is designed for the toughest of tasks.
