Bertram, the maker of the original Hen & Rooster knives, was founded in 1865. Their knives quickly became the finest knives made in Solingen, Germany. In fact, the knives made between 1865 and 1980 in the tiny factory with 14 employees when I purchased the company, remain the finest traditional, production, pocketknives that I know of. The blades are better ground, better finished, and the insides of the knives are so clean they appear to have been mirror polished inside as well as outside.

The Eagle, Al Mar's® largest classic folder, was reintroduced in 2007. There is the original fully flat ground Classic blade with a nail nick as well as the new Talon blade with a deep top swedge and dual thumbstuds.

I have always been partial to the Muskrat pattern. Over the past 47 years I have produced at least six different versions. This is the seventh and finest of all I have ever seen. I began with one of our own Reverse Congress handle patterns and designed a bolder more elegant version of the classic Remington Muskrat blade.
Do you prefer to carry your cash and credit cards in your front pocket, simply with a rubber band to hold everything together, but find the look a little common? Sitting on a wallet in the hip pocket is inconvenient and bulky, so I have taken to carrying the cash and cards in my right front pocket. A rubber band really helps.
