A.G. Russell Knives

Years ago, I was visited by a young man from California who wanted to get into the knife business. He wanted to make a version of one of the SOG knives from the Vietnam war. I took his original and redesigned it, making the handle longer and changing a few lines to make it more attractive. I also gave him directions to the people in Japan who could make a first class knife for him. Spencer Frazer never hesitated. He not only took the prototype we made for him, he added features that make it the "SOG Bowie". We first sold that knife in January 1988 and it remains a great knife. He then changed the leather handle to Micarta® and the carbon steel to high carbon stainless and called it the "Trident".

In early 2005, he introduced the SOG Trident 2. In lots of ways it is similar to the original. You will certainly recognize it as a Trident. The blade steel is the same AUS-8 and the handle is black Micarta® with white washers. The 6-3/8" blade is AUS-8 at 56-58 Rc. The hilt and butt are polished stainless. Measures 11" overall and weighs 11.2 oz. Black leather sheath. Made in Taiwan. Suggested retail is $210.00
