This may be Spyderco's smallest folder, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with style and usability. It is a workhorse of a knife featuring an all stainless steel handle with an etched design to improve grip, a Spyderco round hole for ambidextrous opening, and a right hand tip-down clip. This knife can do just about anything you ask of it, from close in detail work, opening mail or just cleaning fingernails.
The SPIN packs a 1-3/4" modified wharncliffe blade of VG-10 at 60-62 Rc. compactly into a 2-1/4" handle which also functions as the lock. The lock is the frame lock, first thought to have been used by Chris Reeve, a modification of Mike Walker's liner lock. This is a handy knife, while it weighs only 1.3 oz, it is both sturdy and useful. The three screw stainless clothing clip positions the knife tip-down in the pocket and allows the knife to function as a money clip or tie clasp as well. Made in Japan.
