In 2005, Spyderco® launched their Kopa series which has been made up of approximately three knives per year with exceptionally unique handle variations. To date, inlays have been Cocobolo, Black Micarta, Evrina, Apple Coral, Tiger Coral, Gold Lip Pearl, Turquoise and Black Quince. This version has a multi piece inlay of white Mother-of-Pearl with contrasting and colorful abalone stripes. Very striking.

Each version has a stainless handle that is designed and engineered for comfort, and then individually fitted with these exotic handle materials. The 2-3/8" leaf shaped blade, flat-ground to a thin, shaving sharp edge, is VG-10 at 58-60 Rc., a steel that has exceeded ATS-34 in popularity. The back-lock, a traditional and possibly the most secure locking device used on folding knives, is positioned at mid-point on the spine of the handle. The steel pocket clip allows right-handed, tip-down carry. Measures 3-7/16" closed and weighs 2.6 oz. Made in Japan. The quantity available to us will be very small.
