In October 2012, we offered the Randall™ Miniature Trailblazer which was based on Randall's full sized Trailblazer with a stag handle. The quantity available to dealers of any Randall knife is very limited. If you compare the demand to quantity available, the Miniature is extremely so. We accumulated knives for several months before offering it only to KCC members. We quickly found that many of our customers wanted a matching standard Trailblazer so we began to place orders with Randall. There is a several month wait between ordering and delivery. We have now received a small quantity with more scheduled to deliver each month. For now, both we have offered the standard version and the miniature only to members of the Knife Collectors Club.
The Miniature Trailblazer was created to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Randall Knives. In the fall of 2012, they released the 36th printing of their catalog which includes this new knife. This is the first miniature to ever be cataloged - all the others have been special limited runs. The quantity available each month to each Randall dealer is very limited. Both are handmade in the Randall shop in Orlando, Florida.
Due to Randall's high volume of orders, if A.G. Russell Knives does not have this knife ordered delivery is currently taking a year or more. If ordered directly from Randall the wait is currently about 6 years.

Standard Randall Model 27 Trailblazer
The Model 27 Trailblazer, has a 5-3/4" O-1 high carbon non-stainless blade at 56-57 Rc. with stag and a wide spacer at the guard of brass, aircraft alloy, red, white and black fiber and red Micarta®. The guard and butt plate are brass. Includes a model A leather sheath. We recommend RustFree™ (RF125 . . . . $7.95) to protect the blade from staining and rust.

Randall Miniature Model 27 Trailblazer
The mini has a 3-1/2" stainless blade at 55-56 Rc. and the unique model 27 handle configuration - stag with a wide spacer at the guard of brass, aircraft alloy, red, white and black fiber and red Micarta® (not available on other models). The guard and butt plate are brass. Includes the same style leather sheath that ships with the regular Trailblazer.

Randall Made Knives
For over 75 years, Randall knives have been the best-known handmade knives in the world. No two Randall Made™ knives are exactly alike, for no jigs or patterns are used in their final construction. Large-scale commercial production with this kind of attention to detail is not feasible and that's why knives of this unique quality are not widely available.
Gary Randall, the present owner, took over from his father, W. D. "Bo" Randall, in the mid 1970's and the shop remains so busy that today it takes over five years to get a knife directly from them. We are one of the few authorized Randall dealers, and try to keep a stock of their knives. Because our orders with Randall are booked years in advance, if we don't have the knife that you want in stock, we can usually have it for you about 10 months, knives with stag will take a year or more. For anyone wanting to order directly from Randall the price will be lower but the wait will be extremely long.
